The contrast checker shows a heatmap of the contrast ratio between the middle and surrounding pixels. The contrast setting can be changed in the extension options. Press Alt+Z (Ctrl+Z on MAC) or click on it's icon to start the extension.

HOW TO INSTALL contrast checker FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download contrast checker CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
