Youtube Distraction Filter

SUMMARY

This Chrome extension by default will remove the comment section and related video section whenever you are watching a video. This helps users not get distracted by participating in pointless conversation or getting fooled by click bait videos. Known bugs: -If you navigate to a video from within the youtube website the filter will not kick in. It will only work if you navigate straight to the video from a different website/link. Change Log: September 4th 2017: -Youtube recently had an update, changed fields names that are targeted to be filtered to keep up with these changes. August 5th 2019 -Fixed bug where related videos wouldn't hide.

The latest version of Youtube Distraction Filter is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 87 active users. The initial version was launched on 2019-08-05.

HOW TO INSTALL Youtube Distraction Filter FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Youtube Distraction Filter CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
