LZipped Local Storage

SUMMARY

This is a way to look at Local Storage in the Dev Tools when the storage is being encrypted with LZString.js (https://github.com/pieroxy/lz-string). Also might be useful since it pretty prints JSON (double click on any row to get the Pretty Printed value). Very feature bare, banged out in a couple of hours as a tool I needed. The source is available on Github (https://github.com/kriserickson/lz-localstorage-chrome-extension)

The latest version of LZipped Local Storage is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 320 active users. The initial version was launched on 2024-01-03.

HOW TO INSTALL LZipped Local Storage FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download LZipped Local Storage CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
