YouTube Theatre Mode

SUMMARY

Improve the default YouTube Theatre Mode with a layout that makes use of the full browser window.

When using theatre mode with this extension enabled, the video player will take up the full width and height of the browser. If you're watching a livestream, the chatroom will also be displayed unless closed.

The layout is designed to be as similar to the theatre mode on Twitch as possible.

The latest version of YouTube Theatre Mode is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 11 active users. The initial version was launched on 2024-08-25.

HOW TO INSTALL YouTube Theatre Mode FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download YouTube Theatre Mode CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
