SUMMARY

Chrome in some cases, prepend http:// to the url when you try to copy. I constantly copy URL from the browser to the shell and it makes me crazy. To avoid that, I built this very basic chrome extension to get only the hostname of the current tab. `Alt + C` can be used as a keyboard shortcut to copy the hostname to your clipboard directly. HOW TO INSTALL Copy Host FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Copy Host CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
