SUMMARY

Google had to remove the "Maps" tab from Google Search. This extension adds it back and also makes the map image container clickable, whenever a location-related search is detected.

Detecting a location-related search currently happens in two ways:
- search query (can contain words like "address", "near me", etc), currently only english keywords are supported
- certain elements that appear on the Google search results page that indicate that the result is a location.

This makes life a lot easier by adding the Maps button back to Google Maps and will save you a lot of time!

The latest version of bringbackmaps is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 0 active users. The initial version was launched on 2024-11-25.

HOW TO INSTALL bringbackmaps FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download bringbackmaps CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
