SUMMARY

Twitter uses cashtags (e.g., '$GOOG') in tweets to reference stocks, but there's no easy way to get current information about the stock from a cashtag. This extension modifies the twitter page so that when you hover over a cashtag a tool-tip appears with a link to the Yahoo! finance page for the stock.

The extension makes it much easier to get additional context about a stock that a tweet is discussing.

The latest version of Quote It is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 10 active users. The initial version was launched on 2021-02-09.

HOW TO INSTALL Quote It FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Quote It CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
