SUMMARY

This browser extension enables users to swap out the comment section on YouTube videos with comments from the corresponding Reddit post. Additionally, it provides the option to view the Reddit post and associated comments for the current URL within the extension popup. By default, YouTube comments are replaced with the relevant Reddit comments, though users can still access YouTube comments by clicking the YouTube icon in the comments section's top right corner. The extension icon turns blue when the current webpage is submitted to Reddit, and clicking it opens a popup for users to explore posts and comments. The extension is ad-free, doesn't collect data, and doesn't require sign-up. Note: YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC, registered in the U.S. and other countries. This project is independent and not affiliated with YouTube or YouTube Inc.

The Reddit Comments on YouTube™ & Webpages extension was removed from the Chrome Web Store on 2024-05-20. At the time of removal, it had 88 users. The initial version was launched on 2024-01-13.

HOW TO INSTALL Reddit Comments on YouTube™ & Webpages FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Reddit Comments on YouTube™ & Webpages CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
