If you've worked in the music industry, you know ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC -- these are the three major performance-rights organizations. They manage huge databases of compositions, song-writers, and publishers. If you're doing composition research -- "Who is Billy Joel's publisher?" or "What percentage of 'I Choose You' does Sara Bareilles own?' -- you have to look in three separate places. Why not search all of these sites at the same time? Enter Song Search. Inside of the Song Search Chrome extension, users can search by title, composer, publisher, artist, catalog number, or ISWC number. Song Search launches new tabs and that target the appropriate search results on ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC's websites.

The latest version of Song Search is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 681 active users. The initial version was launched on 2016-09-30.

HOW TO INSTALL Song Search FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Song Search CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
