Talkey

SUMMARY

Talkey is a push to talk system for Google Meet. What makes it unique is the fact that the meeting tab does not have to be focused for you to be able to use push to talk (hence global). To achieve it's global nature, Talkey consists of two components, a browser component, which is this extension, and a platform component, which is a desktop app, so be sure to download it. Talkey is open-source so you are welcome to suggest features, report bugs and improve the software by submitting your own code.

The latest version of Talkey is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 4 active users. The initial version was launched on 2021-12-30.

HOW TO INSTALL Talkey FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Talkey CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
