But why do I need to know what my External IP is? - A network administrator who has more than 1 internet link needs to constantly consult your IP to check which one is ONLINE. - If you use a VPN and want to connect to another network, you need to know what your IP is. - Every Web Designer or Developer who uses a transfer protocol like FTP or SSH needs to know what your IP is to connect to your destination.

The My IP extension was removed from the Chrome Web Store on 2024-05-01. At the time of removal, it had 12 users. The initial version was launched on 2021-09-21.

HOW TO INSTALL My IP FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download My IP CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
