Prometheus Formatter

SUMMARY

This extension is a simple syntax highlighter for Prometheus and OpenMetrics formats. Metric endpoints must use either HTTP Content-Type `application/openmetrics-text` or `text/plain`, according to spec.

For plain-text metrics, parsing is limited by default on URL paths matching '/metrics', '/federate', '/probe', '/prometheus' and '/actuator/prometheus'. By clicking on the extension's icon, you can define your own paths (Regular Expressions are supported), which will override the default list.

The latest version of Prometheus Formatter is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 3,000 active users. The initial version was launched on 2020-07-04.

HOW TO INSTALL Prometheus Formatter FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Prometheus Formatter CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
