SUMMARY

Since GitHub isn't nice enough to leave human readable display names when someone leaves Redfin, we built a tool to help us guess the PR author. We assume the the first commit in the PR was created by the PR author, and use git data to surface up the user's first and last name.

The PR Unmasker extension was removed from the Chrome Web Store on 2024-09-11. At the time of removal, it had users. The initial version was launched on 2024-09-11.

HOW TO INSTALL PR Unmasker FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download PR Unmasker CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
