Amazon XRay Shield

SUMMARY

This extension removes the x-ray feature from Amazon Prime Video within 10 seconds of the video starting and keeps it off until the page is refreshed. For those who want to enjoy a video without that annoying popup.

Note that if it does not work, hard refresh your page (control + shift + r) and wait 10 seconds.

If your amazon domain is not in the above list, this extension WILL NOT work for you.

Update 2024-08-23 : Reworked logic for detecting xray node. Now deletes it more reliably.

Update 2024-06-18 : Should now work for countries other than the US.

The latest version of Amazon XRay Shield is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 1,000 active users. The initial version was launched on 2023-12-15.

HOW TO INSTALL Amazon XRay Shield FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Amazon XRay Shield CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
