Wikidata search

SUMMARY

Created especially for Wikipedia editors, this add-on makes it easy to find data items on Wikidata related to your article without having to laboriously open a new tab, then open Wikidata, then type in a search term ... simply highlight some relevant text in your editing page (either in the editing box or elsewhere in the page), right click and select "Quickly lookup the highlighted text on Wikidata". A new tab will open in wikidata.org with your search results.

The latest version of Wikidata search is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 19 active users. The initial version was launched on 2021-10-05.

HOW TO INSTALL Wikidata search FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Wikidata search CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
