Note: This is a companion extension to the idleNotifier android app. Annoyed by your smartphone notifications while trying to get some real work done? Or perhaps you miss important calls immersed on 9gag while your phone is on silent? Then this extension/app combo is for you. It allows you to change your ringer profile based on whether you are active on your computer. Turn your phone to silent or vibrate if you are constantly annoyed by the whatsapp groupchat notification. Or turn up the ringer volume if you, like me, keep the phone on vibrate and forget to check it while on your computer. This works with an android app (link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.marketlytics.idlenotifier ) The extension detects whether you are active or idle on your computer and notifies the app to change your phone sound profile based on the settings you specify.

The latest version of IdleNotifier is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 4 active users. The initial version was launched on 2014-09-13.

HOW TO INSTALL IdleNotifier FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download IdleNotifier CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
