SCREENSHOT
SUMMARY
This is a browser extension inspired by the hover-to-summarize-link features of some browsers. To use it, hover the cursor over a link and press shift! It'll pop up a handy little summary of whatever's on the other side of the link. It grabs the title, publisher-provided description, and cover image using HTML tags on the targeted page and displays them. If you configure an API key in the options menu, it can also send part of the page content to an OpenAI endpoint for further summary. Note that the AI endpoint is not free! If you configure an API key, this extension will use it, and this will cost you money! In addition, this extension only supports direct page links. PDFs, URI anchors, and other shenanigans are not supported. Some sites, especially social media sites, may be incompatible with the parsing methods used. Changelogs can be found on the project's GitHub page.
