SUMMARY

Adds a padlock icon that allows toggling each tab's lock/unlocked state. When a locked tab is being closed, a confirmation dialog which allows preventing the tab from closing, is displayed.

???? IMPORTANT: after locking, some interaction with the page is required for it to work. So you need to, for example, click anywhere on the page after locking to actually prevent the tab from being closed. This is how Chrome works.

The latest version of Lock Tab is available on the Chrome web and is currently being used by 8,000 active users. The initial version was launched on 2022-06-24.

HOW TO INSTALL Lock Tab FROM A CRX FILE

1. Download Lock Tab CRX file
2. NOTE: Sometimes the browser may block downloading / installing CRX file from outside the Chrome Web Store. If so, you may need to download the ZIP file instead
3. In the URL bar, go to chrome://extensions
4. Enable Developer mode
